Pledge Examples
- Brainstorm for ideas and list five actions you can take to improve or save the environment.
- Select one of the five actions and write a statement that identifies the details of your pledge.
- Set a time frame for your pledge commitment.
- Ask a parent or family member to sign your contract and hold you to your pledge.
- Ride my bike to visit a friend who lives nearby instead of asking my parents to drive me there. (Keep safety in mind!)
- Properly dispose of trash found in the neighborhood, even if it is not mine.
- Use reusable lunch containers instead of paper bags.
- Be energy efficient by turning off lights if people are no longer in the room.
- Create a compost pile with yard leaves instead of burning them or placing them in the trash.
