| The Unusually Red Sky |
"The Unusually Red Sky" can be used in conjunction with The Case of the Mysterious Red Light or as a stand-alone PBL activity. In it, students are invited to investigate why Washington D.C. has experienced red skies for two weeks straight. Despite the sky's beauty, reports of decreased air quality and news of a growing ozone hole over Antarctica has raised concerns in many government circles. The students become part of an investigative team of scientists and set out to determine the cause of the unusually red sky. They must report their findings to the president and the citizens of Washington D.C. as soon as possible!
These documents can help you prepare before using the online investigation in your classroom.
