What do you do? Experimental aerodynamics and fluid mechanics. I am currently studying natural flight (birds, insects, fishes) to improve human flight.

What is the coolest equipment you use? The wind tunnel.

How do you use mathematics in your job? To understand fluid flow, you must be familiar with calculus, algebra, and trigonometry. I also write computer programs to solve various problems.

Career Advice for Kids: Find a mentor. Find out what that person does and, if possible, work with him or her for a summer internship.
